Precision Content Authoring Solutions Inc. (“Precision Content”) is committed to ensuring equal access and participation for people with disabilities. We treat people with disabilities in a manner that maintains their dignity and independence. We believe in integration and are committed to meeting the needs of people with disabilities in a timely way by preventing and removing barriers and by meeting our obligations under the Accessibility for Ontarians with Disabilities Act, 2005 (AODA) and Ontario’s accessibility laws.
The AODA adopts the same definition of disability as the Ontario Human Rights Code. Under AODA Section 2, “disability” includes:

Precision Content is committed to using reasonable efforts to provide services to all customers, including persons with disabilities, and to carrying out our functions and responsibilities in the following areas:
We are committed to training staff and volunteers on Ontario’s accessibility laws and on the aspects of the Ontario Human Rights Code that relate to persons with disabilities. Training is provided in a way that is relevant to specific roles and responsibilities.
We communicate with people with disabilities in ways that take into account their disability. On request, we provide information about our organization and its services, including public safety information, in accessible formats or with communication supports.
Precision Content is committed to ensuring the accessibility of our website and intranet in accordance with Ontario’s accessibility laws. Our public website (www.precisioncontent.com) targets compliance with WCAG 2.1 Level AA. We review our web accessibility posture at least annually and seek to meet or exceed applicable standards.
We aim to ensure that our authoring tools and processes conform to recognized accessibility guidelines and laws. When procuring tools, we preferentially select solutions that meet or exceed our web accessibility policy.
We review this Accessibility Policy at least annually and update it as needed.
We notify employees, applicants, and the public that accommodations are available during recruitment and hiring. We inform staff about available supports and maintain a process for developing individualized accommodation plans. Where needed, we provide customized emergency response information to assist an employee with a disability. Our performance management and career development processes take accessibility needs into account.
We are committed to serving people with disabilities who use assistive devices to obtain, use, or benefit from our goods and services. We ensure employees are aware of, and become familiar with, various assistive devices that may be used while accessing our services.
Precision Content follows AODA requirements regarding service animals and support persons:
Service animal — Under Section 4(9) of the Accessibility Standards for Customer Service, an animal is a service animal for a person with a disability if it is readily apparent that the animal is used for reasons relating to the disability, or if the person provides a letter from a physician or nurse confirming the need for the animal for reasons relating to the disability.
Guide dog — Under Section 1 of the Blind Persons’ Rights Act, a guide dog means a dog trained as a guide for a blind person and having the qualifications prescribed by regulation.
Support person — Under Section 4(8) of the Accessibility Standards for Customer Service, a support person is another person who accompanies a person with a disability to help with communication, mobility, personal care, medical needs, or with access to goods or services.
In the event of a planned or unexpected temporary disruption to facilities or services used by persons with disabilities, Precision Content will provide notice as soon as possible. The notice will include the reason for the disruption, its anticipated duration, and a description of alternative facilities or services that may be available. Notices will be posted in a visible location on the affected premises and, where appropriate, on our website or via direct communication.
